Are these human?

Has anyone else been following this case? I simply cannot actually get my head round it..... How can people do this to kids? The Police officers have been receiving counselling every 6 months to help.

Difficult to comprehend, 1)their reasoning for doing it with an 18month old, 2) their reasoning behind believing it was acceptable behaviour, 3)the mental confusion for the victims 4)the fact that these sort of people are out there in everyday life, possibly standing next to you at the bar, at the match, in the supermarket eyeing up your kids. 5)How we can allow these people to ever be released EVER, and 6) how a 39 year old woman, a mother of 2, could be involved in something similar at the other end of the country.
Makes me worry about my young son, how we are considering moving back, nearer to "civilization"!!!!!", than our current home in the Highlands.
These people do not deserve to recieve any favours or priviledges in their cells, where they should be allowed simply to rot. Degrading another human, particularly a defenceless young child, is indefensible
