Highland safari - is it worth it?
Discussion
I am going away on Friday to Aberfeldy/Kenmore and stumbled across the Highland Safari.
I have heard good and bad reviews about it - has anyone been on it? What do you think? Any suggestions for it - clothing/footware etc?
Also, anything else to do in the area? I am going to relax and see the sights, maybe do a bit of fishing but am always up for suggestions.
Cheers!

I stayed in Kenmore a couple of weeks back in the 'Mains of Taymouth' houses.
Didn't stop in at the safari it didn't look like much from where we were but can't say either way. We did go along to the quad biking which was good, pretty varied course. Also the weather was so good that we spent 3 hours swimming in Loch Tay and the water was warm!
Would maybe not waste your time in menzies castle. Needs a lot of tlc and furniture. Lots of empty rooms. Theres also a pretty cool horn making shop in the area.
The dam up that way is also good for photos and plenty of places to go walking if you like that sort of thing.
Its a really nice area, I'm a 24 year old and although we spent a lot of time chiling in the hot tub and getting drunk, I will probably go back at somepoint as I enjoyed my break there. Enjoy!

We;re staying in the white tower in Kenmore grounds so it sounds like we will be staying in the same sort of area. I thought the highland safari was looking at deer and grouse not tigers and elephants? Didn't stop in at the safari it didn't look like much from where we were but can't say either way. Thanks for the input to far!
a bit early for the red deer rut, but the young grouse should be well up by now.
Clothing: Goretex outer shell & or fleece,
Footwear: depends, but good boots or off road trainers depending on what you are doing.
Most important: Avon Skin so Soft, its the only thing to beat the dreaded midgie, you will need it.

I never thought of that!! Is there anywhere in town that sells it or is it just through the Avon catalogue? Clothing: Goretex outer shell & or fleece,
