Thoght this would be appreciated here rather than "Roads"

The A77 and these average speed cameras...damn so tedious....but south of Ballintrae is one of the best bits of road in scotland http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=55.086523...
- a couple of miles of bendy road (I'm from highlands)... wide curves and some tight ones, all with double white lines to see if you can keep it in "your" lane.

love it going up - not so keen coming down ...

Went to turnberry for the golf last friday. I shall tell you in a couple of weeks if no letters come through the door but below each one was a 30mph sign and everyone went past me at 50mph.

An uncle was done a good while back. They seem effective at holding speed down but they engender a convoy mentality which I find really tedious and concentration can wander - so I'd suggest likelihood of accidents rises, don't know the data though.

But once past them south of Girvan.... ahhh the relief.

Apparently they have reduced the fatality and injury rate quite a bit especially the single carriageway towards Stranraer.

As for the 30mph limit I'm guessing the cameras would still be set for their normal limits. Hope so as I was through them too!
