Grandstand ? Not aware of one unless it's a temp thing for the BTCC. I'm assuming at that price you're buying the hospitality package, usually Knockhill's hospitality suite is down by the hairpin on the hill side of the circuit. Won't you get parking with that? Anyway I've been going for around 10 years and never had damage to my cars so wouldn't worry about it. smile However they do like to pack the cars in fairly neatly.

Most of Knockhill is good for views of the cars. The plus to the hairpin area is there'll be a big screen in the centre of the circuit. Last year it was nice to see the cars in person then watch them on the TV. Also viewing from the hairpin is where you'll see the cars at their fastest and some banzai braking manouvres!

Duffus is just about the best but on a BTCC day it will be packed there. Sometimes I find the chicane quite a nice bit as you can see the cars come down Duffus all the way round to Clarks and tends not to be as busy as Duffus, but still busy!

They do erect temporary grandstands for the BTCC, usually at the top of Duffus and around Scotsmans but these are usually corporate seating areas.
The best place for viewing is at the exit of scotsmans on the bank but you'll have to be there early as it will be busy and unless you take a couple of folding chairs you'll be standing for a long time. The hairpin can also be good and there are plenty benches to sit on.

I've always enjoyed standing at the hairpin. You get to see lots of overtaking under braking and the acceleration off up the main straight. The corner is actually pretty steep uphill and there is always a bit of "sideways" action here.

Like others have said they do put up Grandstands. Pretty sure you will get VIP parking with the package. You'll still hit the queues whilst trying to get in and all the carparks are pretty rough so take it nice and slow. If your feeling really lazy park on the hill behind the hairpin and you can see a fair bit of the track without even getting out your car.

Here's hoping for several dry days before and during the race or the parking could be even more fun than usual !

hes not likely to do that if he's paying 150 for grandstand!

At the Classic Speedfair I was driving down that part of the hill and heard the squelching of wet ground so I kept moving!
