Having just moved to Edinburgh I was wondering if anyone knows of any photographic studios in Edinburgh, or within up to a 40/50 mile radious either way. Looking for somewhere to shoot people (portrait, fashion, glamour and art nude) and cars/bikes (with a large enough infinity cove to light with either bounce or dirict light). Not sure when I am looking to use the studio, but to know that there is something available will be a great help when the time comes.

Thanks all in advance for any pointers to something I can use.

Might have to look into this, is it just person size, or capale of accomodating a bike or car?

My mate is part of a photography club that has free (I think) access to a studio. I think it's central but not sure.

I can get details if you like.

Gary.

Thanks for the link, looks more the processing and gallery side of things instead of just a studio for people/car/bike use, that said, I will still pay them a visit and see what they have to offer. Looks interesting though.

I met him on a run a few months ago, couldnt remember his name though, thanks for the reminder, I will certainly give him a PM, though not sure if he does any studio work, may just be location stuff, will find out, thanks.

hi Ian, think I met you and the family when you were up for the Moffat run?

try Edinburgh Photographic Society if you haven't already. Studio but not suitable for cars. again, let me know if you find something.

Hey again, yes we did meet on the Moffat run, well if you have the stunning blue Masser, which as it it happens would be stunning to shoot, hint hint!

Thanks for the heads up, I will try the society, being jobless for now means I have a lot of time on my hands to hunt and try places.

Are you on the run this weekend? If so, I might see you there, if finances allow.

Try asking my processing guys too - A&M Imaging in Stewartfield Industrial Estate. It's just down the road from you (assuming still Pilrig St) over the Bonnington/Broughton Rd crossroads on Newhaven Rd - first left after that I think.

They're pretty clued up about photographic resources in Edinburgh, and are also pretty handy with developing and printing too (both film and digital).

See you Thursday (want to share a cab btw?)
