Lunch stop will be at The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum. A lot of you may be familour with this family run business which has expanded and improved over the years.

I spoke with one of the co-owners today, who is a car enthusiast herself and a member of a car club
(she has an imported fancy Integra). She was very keen to help out and make our lunch stop hassle free.

At present they are expanding their parking and if possible we will have reserved parking for all the cars on the run. She even offered to move the staff parking to let us in.

Lunch will be no problem for our numbers, with either the fast serve or lunch from the menu.
Check out the web-site www.thegreenwellystop.co.uk

We might even get a visit from some of the local car club guys.

I'm desperately trying to remember the owner's name from my time owning a Civic Type R - she was involved with the Type-R-Scotland forum IIRC. Proper enthusiast from what I remember.

well said Sherman.

Any Matchmaker, noticed your name is not down for the run. Can you not make it or do you not fancy going. We won't make you eat at The Green Welly if you don't want to, although you won't be entitled to all the frebbies i've set up;
free parking, free tank of fuel, £2 to eat as much as you can, free shoulder massage from hotchick or guy, windsceen washed while we're having our lunch by page 3 girls, might be a couple of other things i've missed.
Ok i've added a couple of extra things in there isn't any shoulder massages, but it will still be really good.

Go on, get your name down!!

We would of been there on time if we had not stopped and met up with the falkirk/stirling folk and chatted at the stirling services for over an hour when we should of been driving.

A snowy run, there is an idea! I think i would take the Bobtail and laugh at everyone else who only has 2 wheel drive!!

Did have a great time a few years back going over the hill from Garelochead in deep snow. I was driving a sunny gti-r - what a blast. Did pull a mgf 3-4 times when he got stuck, poor guy had never driven in snow and couldn't understand why i had a big grin on my face.

Bloody 4WD Audi drivers wink. I was absolutely bricking it at times during that snowy run! Think I'd owned the Z4 for less than a month, my first RWD car, most power I've had under my right foot, and about 2.5mm left on the rear tyres eek

Bring on sunshine anytime for some top down motoring cool

Edit: and yes, I do remember the owner whose name you e-mailed to me smile

Hi guys,

Seeing as my business is featuring on here and you are all stopping at The Green Welly Stop for lunch in October, I thought I had better register and say hi!

Hi!!

Taken me long enough to get on here, no excuse now!! Lots of information on here, that's for sure. Looking forward to having a good browse. Kenwood, thank you for the 'wee' introduction.... mentalist? Me? Don't know what you are talking about!

Anyway, for your visit, I am hoping that we can reserve space at the back of the car park. We are currently extending the section to the rear of the 'snow bound' picture, to allow for more parking, so if that is all finished, then there shouldn't be a problem... we will try our very best for you all. I am hoping that I will be able to come down and say hello, and maybe even join in your wee run for a bitty....

Madfi wink

Slightly OT (and definately a bit out of left field) ... but that wouldn't be my "Old" (that's "old" as in bloody hell doesn't time fly!!) friend Fiona from my Inverleith / MIM HC days would it?

Ah yes, I do remember you from my TRS days: I was "a11y" on TRS but my EP3's long gone (silver snowy Z4...). Think I met you at the FN2 launch night at Honda Stirling when John worked there. But unfortunately I'm not making this run frown
