I just found out about it yesterday
Another dissapointing day at Craigvinean, about 30 cars came through then a serious crash got the stage cancelled.
Marshall's werent much help, took over an hour for them to eventually tell us what was going on. The organisation was amateur to say the least.
Also, I Was standing near one of the offical safety guys who was eating a packet of crisps and then just tossed the empty packet into the woods!
Only took a few pics, one of Jimmy McRae in the RS-

Marshals have no more access to information than spectators during a rally. It is the radio cars that have all the info and even then, when there is a potentially serious accident like was the case today, the conversations are usually taken off the main frequency and take place on a private network and only the 'top dogs' know what is going on. The radio cars and marshals in stage are usually left wandering what is happening also.
If you have a pic of the marshal who tossed his rubbish into the woods, I'd be interested in seeing it?

Was disappointed not seeing ken block
heard he wasn't allowed to run due to his car using a large than the rules say turbo.
stage 2 was interesting as it seemed the 4WD cars were using me as an apex point

Overall I thought the weekend was not as good as previous years. Now I know last year was a one off and many people will use it now as a benchmark which isn't fair. However, Organisation in Craigvinean was pathetic. Between myself and three friends we were informing, Marshall's, Spectators and Radio cars alike as to what was happening. I understand that it was hard to make a call as to what was happening in stage 1 and whether to run the 4WD's through or not. I think however that bringing everyone back to service after stage one when 75% of the cars hadn't had a run through was a bit silly. The amount of fuel they had used would have been negligible and many had chase cars in operation anyway. We left stage three at roughly 5 O'Clock and there was still two stages to go. We laughed at first seeing a MG ZR with its pods on... maybe he was the only one that had thought it through!
Disappointed that we didn't get to see Meeke and that Block did not appear to rally.
Higgins however was impressive and i don't want to take anything away from the up and coming talent of young drivers, however the likes of Higgins were in a totally different class.

Why would they not even allow him on? I'd be extremely pissed off coming all this way, and not being allowed to drive the course due to a stupid technicality. I heard his rally car was broken, and only the stunt car was available? Me and others certainly would have loved to see Ken drive the 650bhp monster around the stages in they conditions! I'm guessing Ken won't be back to this event.

Copied from the British Rally forum:
"Sorry to all those who came hoping to see Kris and Ken.
Both Kris and Ken were supposed to run at the front of the field but due to technicalities we had to pull this on order of the authorities. Although Kris's car could run as first 4wd Ken's unfortunatly did not meet specification. We tried all methods of getting him to run but it was not to be."
what do they mean could run? "Sorry to all those who came hoping to see Kris and Ken.
