z4m lasted you longer then i thought.

Only thing better about the CSL is the noise Gareth...I'm sure the CSL owners will get all upset about that comment. But it's true. Unless you're a major track goer, or seriously good in the seat, you'll never notice a difference between the Z4MC & CSL. The Z4 is comfier (I've got PP's in the V6 and they are very good, although not comfy) better sound system, looks are as good, esp yours.

Is it worth the extra cash for a 3+yr older car!!?

Shirley sticking a air filter or carbon airbox will get you the noise.
Residuals on the csl ain't as strong as the fanboys would have you believe btw...

I like CSLs too. They're a bit special and reasonable practical too. Wouldn't change my MC for one though!

SMG is a negative imho, isn't the newer system in the E92 meant to be streets ahead?

Nah, even the gruppe M doesn't sound like the CSL... A few folk make carbon airboxes, but at over the grand mark i'll pass!
