House for rent in/near Aberdeen

Work colleague is moving to Aberdeen to take over a job in a school up there and is looking for somewhere to rent for a while until he sells his current house and finds a new one up there. He'd rather deal in person than through these agency places if possible. Know a lot of folk on here are based in or around Aberdeen so said I'd ask about if anyone knows of a place that may be available. Think ideally it'll be from around Xmas time for 6 months or more and be for him and his family. If you know of anything available I'll pass the details on and let him deal with taking it forward.

Him and megy should get togeather as he moved up there today and is in temp accommodation. They could share a place.
