Well at long last the big beastie has been returned to me! Decided not just to repair the front spoiler but to do an almost complete respray and a lot of detailing work.
So here she is!
Just keen to go out and drive her and avoid all ditches in future!!!

Looking good, nice and shiny! Hope to see it again soon.

Just remember the big one at the back is the one for mud and ditches and the others at the front are best on tarmac. hehe

yes it all makes sense now!!!

and no it isn't a micra in the background!! Wouldnt allow one that close without shooting it. It is Nishann Note thingy, that my wife insisted i buy her! As far as she is concerned the only value in the QV is in the government scrappage scheme! I sometimes find her wondering about the garage with the reg docs and a calculator! BTW she isn't into cars ( or me, which at least is understandable)

I agree, the motor looks really good. I'm really busy at the moment Paul, but if you're stuck for giving the car a wee run - let me know and i'll take the day off work so i can take it a spin.

You don't have to thank me for the offer, just a fellow pistonheader helping out another. I wouldn't like to see you stuck. Depending on what day it is, i might have to bring my two doggies. They are usually well behaved and should fit in the front ok.

You have my contact details.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kenny.

Here is a picture of Charlie, the younger doggy.

Paul what a beauty...how reliable is the car? I hear mixed reports, what is your experience?
I’m thinking of buying something from the same era.

Hi
it depends on how they have been used and cared for in simple terms. Any car which has had prolonged periods o non use will be a problem when you start to use it in particular if you want to use it as was intended!
Ferrari's are easier to own as they are simpler to get parts for and generally were better built as they were compared to other cars 'mass produced'. I have a 328 and it is probably the easiest Ferrari to own!
A 308 after 1982 has some galvanising but all cars of that era rust!
In general i ind the cars reliable but i do compared to most a very large mileage

Looks great Paul!

Worked out a sensible way how to organise them to all fit in the garage yet?

Looking very nice paul!

How long was it from first going into the workshop till it came back out again.

Will be nice to see it on the road and being used again smile

Hi
the car was off the road for four months!! one of that was waiting for some bits and the rest as I was doing such an extensive respray and there were so many minor repairs etc
The car is quite unusual to work on as there are 4 materials; steel; carbonfibre; a lot of aluminium and fibreglass. We literally pulled the front end off and went around and did everything properly. The rear spoiler was in a bit of state with internal corrosion and it needed two days work alone!
I still have a bit to go on the car as a few things still needing sorted and finished. Nearly all of this was just work I wanted done and nothing to do with the ditch!

Just nice to have her home and to give her a bit of TLC.

|Just had Ali of 360 complete detailing around to do some cleaning of the engine bay after 4 months in garages. Here is the pic

Engine looks amazing now compared to the way it was!! Biggest problem was persuading him to take money for so much hard specialist work!! Ali, once again a very big thanks .
Top guy! Amazing results
