A neighbour's just had hers go and she's been quoted 1700 quid to fix it. Can't vouch for any other mechanical wossnames, but it certainly looks in decent nick for its age.

Can't help but think that 1700 seems excessive, mind, but I know bugger all about Golfs.

Tis in Edinburgh, off Leith Walk (Balfour Place). As for price, I dunno really, it was a passing conversation that just prompted me to post.

Yep, got it, ta. I can't guarantee how soon there'll be a reply though, as my neighbour's often out. I'll pass it on as soon as I can, though smile
