I have a vague memory of reading about a classic MG specialist/restorer in Westhill (I think) on this board but the search engine is not showing up anything of use.

Anybody know what I'm on about? I may have dreamt the whole thing up, of course.

Cheers

Cheers. Not the one I was thinking of but worth knowing about...

Was really an MG specialist I was looking for though - my old man is looking at buying a Cobra 289 replica based on an old MG and just wanted an informal chat with someone about what to look for with regards pre inspection etc.

Wot he said /\

Speak to Bernie or Nick - they really are MG specialists amongst other cars. If you find an MG question they can't answer, you'll be doing very well.

I should declare Nick is my hairy, overweight brother with no sense of humour, so feel free to give him some stick!! hehe

Tell him to think about a Chimaera instead Matt. I know of one possibly for sale with a cracking strong engine. ;-)

Where's the photos?

Tried that Paul, but he wasn't biting. Set his heart on a 289 I'm afraid...

Oh, and I'll email the pics across soon...

No sense of humour? We talking about the same Mr Walker here...? laugh

MGs are their bread and butter at 20cc, tell your old man to pop along for a cuppa and a chat and I'm they'll be delighted to provide any info they can. Possibly at the rate of one sticky bun per member of staff... lick
I'm pleased the subtlty of that wasn't lost on you!! But do tell him when you see him!!

Oh, and its probably best to take a LARGE sticky bun per member of staff, just to get some goodwill!! wink

Nick and Bernie at 20th Century Classics in Newtonhill should be able to help with anything MG. Have a look at www.20cc.com
An address I have now kept also.

Just got Otis home a few weeks ago. If we are stuck we now know where to go.
