We're been having a discussion this morning about food and we got onto the topic of battering and deep frying. One of the guys used to work in a chip shop while at uni and said they used to deep fry EVERYTHING to try it. I rose to this challenge and suggested bacon! So.....has anyone ever tried this? It could be disgusting or it could be the next big sensation in breakfast creations wink

It shrinks and curls a lot but is fantastic. Easy to overdo as well.

Aye, as Mick Dundee says, it's tasty but easy to mess it up.

Try deep fried cheese and ham sandwiches and tell me how it turns out, always wondered about that.

behind the counter at local bakers is a deep fat fryer.

Bacon and Sausages (Link & Square) are dipped to re-heat for a hot roll. Does that count?

'Gator, and it was deep fried as well! Taste/texture was like a cross between chicken & a firm white fish.licklicklick

Guinea pig, llama and alpaca (the latter as a jerky).

Piggy was a bit rubbish really, although the expression on its face when they bring it out is quite amusing (although not as amusing as those around you who haven't seen it before biggrin). Llama was a bit like mutton, and the alpaca jerky was very tasty, quite rich.
