Morning all,

I've emailed Knockhill, but no response yet.

I'm thinking of hiring the circuit for the first (well behaved) part of my stagger, just trying to work out if it would be feasible or not for 20-30 of us.

Does anyone know the approx cost to hire the circuit, including marshalls, the required insurance etc? It would be for 2 or 4 hours weekday session in April, afternoon or evening.

G

Can't be... well not for the track only. I'm only looking for say a two hour evening session. Track Scotland etc chargae around £65 for 40 cars which comes to around £2600.

It is more expensive to hire it at the weekend, with Sunday being the most expensive day.

I would have thought a 2 hour evening session mid week would have been about £2 - £2.5k. Just make sure that you have enough daylight hours, as the sun sets before 8pm in early April.

failing that hiring Alford is really cheap, in comparison, however they usually prefer clubs as insurance is pivotal.
Ok its nothign like as high speed as Knockhill but could be entertaining.

Sounds about right. TrackScotland had 45 or so drivers on Saturday for an afternoon session so that roughly works out at £4500. Call it a day and that would be nearer £9.5k, add a premium in for a summer day and/or it being a Sunday...

However I'd expect £2.5-3k for a couple of hours on a weekday in early spring would be about right.

I think I was quoted £1600+vat for an evening for 2 hours. However they did not have many dates to go for so I knocked it on the head.

looking at the website, what/where is the grass activity area, must be that wee fenced off bit at the karting that we use as a tent campsite for the 2 day meetings

Used to be EXTREMELY cheap. There were many conditions though.

I must ask about it again as it would be a laugh.

through a club it was circa £300-400. plus extra if you needed help/ open of closed event. I looked at it for a pile of quattros a few years ago. i figured 10 folk and it was £40/ head. BUT the insurance pivotal for clubs.

Aye, do you mean public liability insurance or what?
