39. The Brig o' Balgownie is Scotland's oldest medieval bridge dating from 1286, although it took over 40 years to complete.
When I was a student living at Hillhead Halls we used to jump off that bridge during the summer. I had no idea it was so old. Plenty of stupid, albeit relatively minor injuries, when you mix students, sunshine, alcohol and indeterminable water depths, but damn good fun!

The students still do it, I can hear them hit the water with my windows closedWhen I was a student living at Hillhead Halls we used to jump off that bridge during the summer. And don't forget we are famous for having a bridge with a single lane over the Bridge of Dee, which essentially brings chaos every morning and night in the rush hour, where 4 incoming roads try to converge into one.
Either side of which is a dual carriageway. But dont worry, we will cause even more congestion by building 1700 new houses in Portlethen, thus increasing the vehicle numbers even further which will be converging on the bridge.

Perfect strategy in my opinion.Either side of which is a dual carriageway. But dont worry, we will cause even more congestion by building 1700 new houses in Portlethen, thus increasing the vehicle numbers even further which will be converging on the bridge.

Dissuades minkers from the south and the north coming to our precious "jewel of the UK".
