We had an important first meeting with my daughters future in-laws at a restaurant last night at 7pm. We were late because we were in the pub opposite watching the finish of the match, A RESULT!!!woohoo Not sure the outlaws appreciated it though!

All work stopped in the hotel I work in for the last 5 mins of the game as all the scottish staff and punters in the public bar watched in silence ( no one dared to ask to be served hehe). Most of the guys from the restaurant came through and left their partners at the table as well. When the final whistle was blown everyone in the bar went loopy. woohoo

What I don't get is everyone raving about the atmosphere at the match. I live just round the corner from Murrayfield, so go to nearly all the games. There were a few decent roars on the very few Scotland drives, but most of the cheers were loudest when Giteau missed his kicks.

The booing at the end was understandable, but a bit disappointing and not really in keeping with the usually fairly respectful atmosphere at Murrayfield. Especially when Giteau had said in the pre-match press that Scotland were hard but fair.

Awesome defensive performance, although being up in the gods it was hard to tell how much was our good tackling and how much was the aussies misfiring. Rather odd selection from Deans too. Quade Cooper barely got a look-in for the tri nations yet gets a start, and O'Connor who was one of their rising stars only comes on late on.

Cracking result, and here's hoping we can make it the first clean sweep in the Autumn tests in a long time. 2003 was it when we beat SA?

Booing at matches is a pet hate of mine.

Always at international matches, rugby and football. Also the "wwoooooooaaaahhh!" as someone runs up to take a penalty.

It's certainly not what it used to be.

But still, cracking result, we worked hard for it, defended our bks off, wasn't the prettiest win but we got there in the end thanks to poor kicking.

Errrr...

It's finished - won't post the score just yet in case some are going to watch on replay. It'll be on the Beeb.

I wasn't at this game - watched it at home.

Last weekend was surprisingly mild at Murrayfield though - despite the rain on the pitch.

Aye, was a wee bit chilly on Sat! Never helps when the place is half empty. A full house tends to warm up a bit more.

SRU need to do something to fill the place up for autumn tests, even if it's giving tickets away to styooooooooodents.
