Recommended or not?

Contemplating a remap and exhaust (maybe even some new cams too depending on how much of a rate increase I get at the end of the year)...

Indeed they are. Had a lot of mapping done by Russ, but no mechanical work but I wouldn't hesitate to use them if I needed anything done.

yes

Thanks for the advice, will give them a call regarding the remap.

Have a very good local garage (JD in Insch) who, I'm sure, could do the spanner work. they're cheap too. I like cheap.

There are Revo and Custom Code dealers in Aberdeen I believe. Might be worth a look for VW stuff.

I know a guy who is is the oracle for all things VAG and will be able to perform a live re-map on your car. PM me if you want his details.

But yes, JD will be more than happy to fit your exhaust.

GP - is this mystical man called Mr D Manson? If so, then i would also suggest that he knows more than VW themselves i think! He is some boy, very knowledgeable.

A mate of mine gets all his work done by a small garage on forest avenue lane. Cant remember his name but knows a thing or two about VW's.

The first guy i was talking about is called Dave C - he works at Motorwerks and does the Custom Code remaps, they are based on Forest Avenue lane.

The second guy i was talking about is also called Dave but a different Dave, he does not work at Motorwerks but he does know an obscene amount of stuff re VW's and mapping... He's the man...

cheers

Sorry this is a bit late but I know Dave at JD in Insch he's a big car fan, ex Hill Climb/Sprinter and very good mechanic. Also used Wallace for Mapping and fitting a clutch to my Evo again very helpful and great to deal with.
