Here is an old thread from SIDC that might be the place you are talking about.

The phone number is on the car in the pictures smile

We sent a mate there for his 21st a few years back - he absolutely loved it.

There's a place in Muirkirk called Kames that might do some rally based stuff, word on the street is that the late Colin Mcrae spent a lot of his earlier years there! driving

Try The Scottish Forest Rally School: http://www.yell.com/b/Scottish+Forest+Rally+School...

It's run by a chap named Tommy Makin (really) and is probably the place your thinking of in South Ayrshire. The gravel/forest roads they use are in the Galloway Forest IIRC.

Kames itself dosen't run any courses, but can be hired for use. EACC (kames owners; www.eastayrshirecc.co.uk) also has a gravel course that can be used.

I would advise NOT to do the Knockhill one. I was really disappointed. It was all on tarmac/concrete with knackered old Sierras with - THE HORROR - open diffs. Not my idea of rallying.
