God that opened up when I was at 2nd year at uni. Wednesdays were just a drunken haze in there.

God that brings back memories, as metioned the ama ding dong bus was just mental, quite sad to see the place looking like that.

Great days.

Wow Amadeus opened just before i was 18. We spent MANY MANY nights there! I even bought a VIP membership one year which was brilliant. Everyone used to pass me money to buy drinks and of course i always got one. It paid for itself really biggrin

Down at the beach mate at the retail park. Beside the cinema and burger king.

LOL back in the days! biggrin

Even I (sort of) remember that place, legendary Wednesday nights out with the uni swimming and waterpolo teams after anniliating the Aberdeen uni teams. So glad I was too young to register as a minibus driver when I was at uni, journeys back from Aberdeen must've been horrific for drivers

(probably the most relevant use of smilies in a post ever...)

Rolling back into Glasgow at 6am, couple of hours kip on a floor, Greggs for breakfast and 9am lectures...

I'll bet it was, the service from the downstairs bars was always atrocious...100 punters 5 deep and one lass behind the bar.

It was the largest club in Scotland at the time, probably still would be if it was open.

Thurs nights (70/80's) was brilliant and I was there every Sunday night when at Uni smile

I seem to remember one of the bus drivers (maybe the one up King St) had a mental mullet, think he got some abuse for it.

Hence why everyone bought me a drink in return for passing theirs out! smile

Ahhhh, Amadingdong. Those were the days! I started going when I was 16. It was such a laugh, I have many, many happy memories of that place.

Was it my imagination or was Geoff Capes on the door when it opened?

Had some mental nights out there...

I remember seeing that place when I used to go out with a girl from Kintore. I always assumed that it must have been a bit rough!!
