Linked to a recent email from a PH'er in search of tyres in the Edinburgh area, I'm after some advice for the Glasgow area if you're willing? I'm looking for Michelin PS2 (N rated) and so far I've found...
- Camskill deliver cheaply but I don't know where I could get them reliably fitted at a reasonable price,
- Event tyres don't cover Glasgow
- Black Circle want £350 a pop!
- Kwik Fit are reasonably priced (£327) but I've heard stories of poor fitting?
- other PH'ers rave about Costco but I can't find out how much they charge?

Anyone know or have a better idea? Care with tyre fitting is really important to me - I don't need the rims ruined by an eager tyre fitter with the best intentions in mind.

Many thanks

Jim Dickson in Cumbernauld, I've been using them for years and have never found anyone cheaper and they're a really nice bunch. They're a black circles fitter but usually do a better price if you go to them directly.

Number is 01236 720205

Hope that helps.

John.

The guy (Craig Brierly) that has the etyres franchise in Glasgow is excellent and will fit the tyres at your home/ work. Used him for the last couple of years along with a few colleagues and no worries at all.

Check etyres website for prices.

Costco are really good, price wise, for Michelins. Good stock of sizes and can get any size within a few days

Just phone them and they will give you the price or pop in to Springburn. You can get to the tyre bit without a membership card but you will need one to buy.

Do Black Circles not do any kind of price match?

problem with black circls is who is going to fit the tyres and how good or difficult your wheels are. I found that MGM matched the black circle pices or was so close that it made no difference as I would prefer to have them fitted it properly!

Just to update you - COSTCO quoted £333 per tyre all in but I need to factor in membership as well. Performance Tyres were £15 more but you're right about the service and the guy I spoke to on the phone couldn't be more helpful and was able to give me opinions and his thoughts on the tyres so I think I'm going to support the local man - thanks for your help. been trying that number all day and it is either engaged or a dead tone. Can you confirm it is correct? Cheers OJ
