I booked myself onto a survival course at Nutec Aberdeen starting on Monday, I just got home yesterday expecting to find a letter giving course details, like what time it starts, the address, what I am required to bring with me etc, but nothing. Tried phoning today but they are closed.

So.

Anyone know the format for the two day European refresher, and which address I report to as there are two addresses at Dyce, one for Falck Onsite which is near the BP building, the other is Falck Nutec Aberdeen and is close to the backside of the airport on Farburn Terrace, by Bond I think.

I have always used RGIT/now Petrofac previously which is why I don't know where to go.

I was actually meaning both days drowning or just the one etc and where do I go for my burning and drowning.

But yes two days of burning and drowning just about covers it.

Thank you for your input Mr (I don't do offshore) Kiltie wink

The last time I did it was at the place by the airport, past Bond Helicopters. I can't remember exactly when it started. I think it was 08:30 hrs.

I would try the Dyce one.

Not your fault if they have not sent out the joining instructions.

Ave

ETA, The one at Bond I mean for you to take. Head past the bond building, follow round to your left and take a right, you will see the building.

I've got this to look forward to in the next few weeks. Start my new job on the 8th.

What's the course like and how long does it take?

Cheers.

It's the Falck next to the airport that you want. Falck onsite do Forklift, banksman & slinger etc.

I was on the Pan European Refresher - two days.

I thought it was pretty good, I have always used RGIT, now Petrofac, previously and liked the attitude at Nutec. The lecturers, well most, took the attitude that it was a referesher so we had all been through it before and skipped over the basics and concentrated on the important bits.

Of course it is overpriced, but aren't they all and I have the certificate and that is it for four years.

I only did my medical @ Falck Nutec and that was round the back of the airport. Did the FOET at Petrofac.
