Ok, so ill come clean, and say that ive been lazy and used an Arco automated car wash yesterday.

While I was in the que and looking over the prices and what was included in the wash cycle I noticed some of the more expensive cycles offered under car washing. I thought this might be a good idea with all the salt on the roads.

Do they just have jets under the car spraying upwards, I was expecting to be engulfed in a cloud of steam as the water hit my exhaust and hear the headers creaking as they suddenly contracted!!

Yup it's just a few nozzles located under the car as it passes over, does an ok job at getting the very loose stuff off but it's not really that effective in all honesty - I used to work at an ARC car wash many moons ago (pretty ironic considering what I do for a living now!)and was never that impressed with them.
