The EDL are planning a march starting at the bandstand in Princes' St Gardens tomorrow (well, today really, Saturday). Funnily enough, the anti-fascists are planning a counter protest.

Could be interesting....

(Not sure what time, I'd guess "lunchtime", ie 12-2 ish).

Shame I'm otherwise engaged, I wouldn't mind being around with the camera...

Why would you want to be anywhere around two or more groups of nutters who are 99% just keen on seeing some agro?

Cheers,

I agree we should turn up to protest!
Absolutely odious that English people are here! Time to implement border controls for Scotland!

That's utterly ridiculous, send the EDL away back home to Govan.

Sorry, my fault - it's NEXT Saturday, ie the 20th.

As for why the EDL are marching in Scotland, I have no idea.

And I don't have any interest in attending either.

Just thought it might be useful as a heads up for people not wanting to get caught up in any (inevitable, imo) aggro.

I think this lot may of been the cause of at least 10 riot vans full to the brim of coppers in riot gear sitting outside Linlithgow train station today.

Were they put on a train and taken quickly out of edinburgh after the march?
