In Chris's absence I'll be doing the notes for Calum McLeod in car 89 in NessRallySport's GC8 hire car. Nice low seeding position due to Calum's relative inexperience so if it snows we'll have 4WD and some nicely swept stages! No snow tyres though, will have to make do with forest knobblies!

Alrighty! Chris isn't running as the white Impreza now exists only as a collection of eBay item numbers! He's away drilling some holes in the Falklands at the moment anyway, hopefully to finance a new car! Last time we spoke he was on about testing a Fiesta ST but we shall see what happens...
aha i knew there was to be work there but didnt know he was heading biggrin

maybe next time he'll get a better car like an evo or a mk2 escort lol wink

Saw Andy Horne last week with the 6R4 on the trailer, so assuming he must be using that for the snowman?

Yeah, Andy Horne running in the DAM 4100 Gti, seeded about 6th/7th iirc. What a beast, you know when that thing launches, even when standing several miles into the stage. Sounds like an angry wasp on steroids!

Think there is a total of 4 6R4's running this year.

Was a beautiful day for it, we were at the mid-point of stage 2 and my pics can be viewed here:

Quite a few blurred shots but a few gems in there, including a very sideways Mk2 Escort! Top day out as always and already looking forward to next year, hopefully running this time...

Drop me an email if you want a high-res version of any of the pics.

Not quite - windows in the Subaru couldnt be persuaded to go all the way up so wasn't the warmest seat in the whole rally!

If anyone got any pics of car 89 (yellow Impreza) post them up please!

Thanks!

I took about 600 pics all told but most got binned. I've kept about 80.

I had a great day and will more than likely be back again next year smile

That pic doesn't quite tell the whole story!

On first viewing it looks like the blue Imprezza is hunting down the yellow one. Wrong! It was taken just after the yellow Imprezza passed the blue one - I can imagine there was some colourful language in car #89 until they got past, suggested by the extensive use of the horn as they approached us...

Kay, we must have been right beside each other!

I have a pic taken just before yours - in fact I can see myself in your pic!
