Afternoon all,

It's a long shot I know but I am probably going to be looking for a space of some sort to store/work on my project car in the next couple of months.

It would need to be dry and secure with electricity.

So if anybody knows of such a space for rent then please get in touch!

Cheers.

How long can you wait? And once in how long would you need it for?

I'm about 75% of the way through my engine swap and once it's done it can be driven in and out to make more space for you to work on yours. I WILL have it running by May. Only thing I'll be doing during the summer is polishing it. Just with 2 cars in it can be a bit tight. I'm just off junction 8 of the M77 if that's close enough for you?

It's not a bad space to work in. Let me know if you're interested and see if we can come to some arrangement.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm in no rush as technically I still need to get something for daily driving duties, depends if my banger will make it through another MOT or not.

Where abouts are you, Fenwick? I'm in Kilmaurs

I am looking for somewhere fairly long term though (as my progress will mostly be determined by my bank balance laugh) as I am looking to pretty much restore the body of the car, though once the underside/welding was done the rest could be done elsewhere, or hopefully find a actual place, how long would you be willing to let me in? how much for rent? etc. Send me a mail please.

I am definitely interested though!

Off topic.. Nice MR2, what are you swapping into it?

Probably of no use to you but I have a load of bits left from a G-limited I broke last year, you are welcome to anything that's there and I would only be looking to sell a few of the bits, rest is free to a good home (Mr2oc insists you add a price to the advert though!)

Where the bodyshop is? Probably too expensive for me if they are proper industrial units, would be nice though. Burnhouse is a bit far as I will only be looking to do a few hours here and there during the week. Cheers though.

I used to see you around in your Chim all the time, haven't spotted you for a while though?

Quite a few TVR owners in Stewarton, used to be a chap with 2 Cerberas in Kilmaurs that I think moved to stewarton and a nice red T350 on the road before the old Glasgow road.

Yeah the mini centre no idea price wise but they are not industrial units just guys with cars for hobbies one of my mates used to rent it with 2 other guys and that was one of the big sheds think he was 70 quid a month each and it could hold around 6-7 cars and had a 2 post ramp in it but there are smaller ones just go through knockintiber to the tiber tavern turn right then first left go to the top of the hill and thats it jut next to the farm.

The Chim gets tucked up for the winter just got it back on the road on thursday been driving it non stop with a big grin like a loon biggrin

Yeah there are a few of us in stewarton The T350 he also has a gold wedge the two brothers who used to work for TVR had 2 Chims And a Cerb but i was told at my meet at the weekend they sold them on. On the old glasgow road again a chap with a blue S and a red chim in fenwick lol Quite a few of us. If you see me kicking abaout give us a wavey

Cheers Scott
