Hi,

I think the rotor inside my mechanical watch is working loose (started to rattle) and do not have the tools to open the caseback and tighten the screw. Are there any decent watch places in Aberdeen I can trust to do it for me without scratching the caseback in the process etc?

There are, and I'd suggest Finnies on George St. I'd strongly suggest keeping away from the one on the NE corner of Union Bridge as they ripped the st out of a £1650 watch of mine and then denied liability. It cost me £200 for repairs, the utter, utter Barstewards. rage

Finnies looked after my Omega very well recently when servicing it, so another recommendation for them.

I've also had good service from Finnies (and I wouldn't disagree with Mr jshell about "the other place")
