Was anyone else up there - I was in the yellow westfield with no grip! That was one of the slippiest tracks I've ever been on - the car is new to me, but nothing felt right - understeer on way into corners, oversteer on way out....not sure if it was the conditions, tyres or setup (or driver!) - so looking for other's opinions. Particularly the wet patches on the exit of the chicane and clarks....just couldn't risk pressing the throttle at all! Even still, some good driving - one of the elises in particular who rarely pointed straight on was very rapid and entertaining to watch.
Was anyone up taking pics, would like to see if anyone got one of my car?

Yeah made for some interesting moments especially through the chicane.
Was a good day however, first time i have had the DC2 on track which i was highly impressed with! Car ran faultlessly all day and my new Carbotechs were excellent! Just need to learn to heel and toe smoothly now to stop locking up! Plus need to get the worn bushes changed the geo set up now hopefully in time for SIDC at the end of the month which is looking unlikely now as i am working in Inverness for the next 2 weeks
Negatives; 102 miles out a full tank to the light coming on and operator problems with my Muvi, so ended up with no footage....Doh!!!
Yeah pics would be good!

Up there too and managed to check the car out. Weather was promising but a bit disappointed with the amount of snow melt.
Anyone got any photos - saw a few taking shots.
A video to show the conditions - only really the warm up as the camera quickly gave up in the salty spray.

I made it down but was spectating / paxing only. Was pretty damn wet in places and the water did an admirable job of hiding the slippy kerbs too!
I have a confession, I was the weirdo pawing over your R400 - it was by far the best sounding car of the day!
What bike engine was running in the yellow one?

. . . . . all that money on the roller barrels was worth it then! Not sure what engine the yellow car was using, but it sounded pretty good too!

Many black flagged for spins?
Don't think many were black flagged - the red flag came out a few times and people had to be towed out of the mud/snow, but that was because of greasy circuit rather than bad behaviour - thought the standard of driving was generally quite good...Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
