June Holiday - Where to stay?
Discussion
I'm doing a UK driving holiday up the West Coast in June (10th - 18th) and wondered if anyone can recommend where to go and where to stay.
I'm definitely going to Glencoe but apart from that totally open minded so suggestions would be appreciated.
Do not minding paying for good hotels and don't want to necessarily drive every day as the Mrs will like some serious RnR time too.
Thanks
Gary

The Clachaig Inn in Glencoe itself is quite nice, in a rugged, hill-walker kind of way. Rooms are nothing to shout about, but the main bar/restaurant/feasting hall thing is pretty cool (flagstones, huge fire, massive bar etc).
GetCarter recommends somewhere in Torridon - think it might be The Torridon Inn

Topic running here which might help

Early June is usually the best time to see the West Highlands - not too busy as schools not on holiday yet, not too bad midge-wise and generally good weather (although no guarantees!).

Hi Steve, I have recently written to the Scottish Tourist Board suggesting they allocate their entire budget to you because you are doing a far better job at promoting the Highlands than them.I will of course take my usual fee of ten percent.
