Might be worth speaking to a Volvo Dealer, explain your plans and ask for a loan of a demo car for the weekend. They might tell you to bu**er off but on the other hand if you don't ask you don't get. smile

Have already asked dealer where i bought her v50 d5 from but was told they dont do " extended " test drives.
When we bought the v50 we couldnt even test drive the v50 d5 geartronic as they didnt have a demo, ended up testing an s40 d5 manual and for 20 mins at that !!!
Still bought one in the end and its the dogs B**lcks.

Can't help with the hire, sorry, but know exactly how you feel about the test drive. I went for a test drive in the V50 T5, they only had a 2.0 Diesel available, no T5's in Scotland! Having never driven a Volvo, I took the plunge with a go in the diesel. Thankfully my new T5 was ok in the end.

Derek, it's not a patch on the Impreza I had before it, but the Volvo is excellent (in a straight line hehe). She really is excellent though, so smooth and comfortable (yet quick). I'm not sure about mpg to be honest, probably mid - late 20's (on a good day), should really pay more attention to these things!
