ok folks iv done a trial run of the route i have planned in the the diesel clio... biggrin . it was quite fun actually until i realised i was doing 5500 rpm in 3rd trying to keep up with a new jag. oops, lol!

so a few minor changes now i know how the timing roughly works and where the sun is likly to be.

i have spoken to the 3 managers/ owners of the pubs we are stopping at and they are all happy to have us.

3 oclock meet at the ploughman in culter with an eye for LEAVING at 3.30. anyone wanting to be there earlier is more than welcome il be there just chilling and chatting with the owner who's aparently a car nut.

head over the neatherly road to stonehaven through stonehaven great weee widing road out of stonehaven!

tunr left onto the a92 and continue on to the parking layby above gourden for possible pics and to wait for the group to catch up and bunch together. we can give the gypsies a toot toot as we leave! carry on to the junction for the B9120 to laurencekirk (this is a great wee road as i found out today!) cross the dueler and back to the b9120 to fettercairn and the cairnomount. stop for pics at the top. Continue on until we reach the junction for the B974 at strachen turn left and a few twisty miles to the feuchside (hopefully for arround 5.30-6.00.

bar supper and a good natter then leave 7- 7.30 ish back towards banchory onto the B9077 southdeeside road to the bieldside inn for drinks, or town as some of us are heading to.

iv coppied the "entry list" from the previous thread. please have your name down by saturday the 27th so i can give final numbers to the respective premisis that are accomodating us.

I'm quite tempted by this, although im not sure about work yet, i'd be coming from fife and a 1.2 clio is very lacking compared to the rest going.

i did the route today in a diesel 1.5 clio. the big power cars wont be able to use most of their power on the roads we are going on so wouldnt worry about that. it was still a fun drive in a slow car.

Looking forward to this! I'll be passenger in Ian's Lotus

If there is a few passengers does anyone fancy musical chairs between cars?

As I told you earlier, I'll just go with whoever has free seats hehe

ETA; Rod, maybe a good idea to start a new thread about who's going with who?
Save confusing all the lifts with the drivers etc...
