Wondered if anyone on here lived in Motherwell and could give me the lowdown on Grathellen Court,i.e. good area or bad area etc.

Had a quick look on street view and spotted a blue Tuscan in the street so hopefully a good area.

Many thanks

I live the next town over - are you thinking about moving there? If so I STRONGLY recommend you have a look around the area first. The area along Merry St towards the train station is a bit of a stehole, but it does get better the further out from there you get.....

I didn't want to post the Tuscan and wanted to show the distance to the aforementioned train station.

I live five minutes away from Grathellen Court. I have never been down the area, but it is pretty rough just down the road on Merry St and New Stevenson. The street looks nice and quiet though.

Hi Dont think it is too bad an area. Knew some peeople who lived close by and they never said anything adverse. Within 1/2 mile are not so good areas but isolated frm where you are although is the main road. As you can see it is a fairly narrow band of houses. Meant to be new houses in the old ravenscraig site but they will be years away.
If in doubt can phone my Estate Agent Willy Barrie who works in my office 01698 355936 and ask his views. Tell him just phoning for some free advice and Paul ( aka his alleged boss) said to do so. He will know a lot more than me!

Used to work that area and surrounding area's. The only problem is the Jerviston Scheme which is a toilet and full of scroates, but the actual street you are talking about is quiet and secluded from the tts.

You back onto the golf course and the Colville park counrty club which is a nice place.

go into Motherwell police office and ask them what the area and street are like. They will tell you if its crap or otherwise

Strangely, i've been looking at a place about 500 yards from there laugh

Motherwell is not bad unless you're right in the thick of it, as mentioned. If you're like myself and hardly ever venture out at night to pubs etc, then i doubt you'd get much in the way of hassle.

Small world.

It's not me that's thinking of moving there though, I'll probably have a late night drive round the area on Friday or Saturday to see what it's like then.
