I have it from a reasonably informed source that this is scheduled to happen on the 1st of July, benefiting the same charities !
Bigger event than last year, with the runway involved stretching to 1800 metre's...

Is it not the previous Thursday, the 24th June?
It would be so good to trace the owner of the Veyron that resides in Glasgow and invite them along....

I could make it if it's the 24th, but not the 1st, I will wait on confirmation.

I did this last year but I won't be doing it again for a number of reasons.

It's all for a very good cause and the efforts of the organisers are laudable.

I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from doing it but it just didn't float my boat.

The tour of the control tower and getting to drive a fire engine were the highlights of my day.

One word of warning though. If it's the same format as last year, anyone holding a MSA license should think twice.

Cheers,

Eric smile

With reference to your Cobra, what is a "Yankee short block"? Always interested in learning something new.

Sory mate i had to fit a short motor when the original motor blew. What should have come out was the 'small block' as opposed to your 'big block' Mine is a 5 litre ford unit. H

No actualy they are pretty good, it's just that a Chevvy in a Cobra is just so wrong (but probably not as wrong as a putting a V12 Jag in one).smile
