sorry for the double post but this is what i meant to put. is 2 hours resonable enough without going mental speeding? obviously i could do this journey at night no problems but during the day?

time of day effects it a lot Mark, but yes thats entirely reasonable. If you are leaving from home, go over the cairnomount/ slug and bypass all the traffic its considerably quicker, but then 2 hours becomes a lot tougher to meet, more like 2:15-2:30.

in theory, since a large portion of the the route has a 70 limit.

but i did a round trip bathgate to aberdeen last weekend, i think the return journey on the sunday was left 11am, got back around 1.45 maybe (though i'll admit, stopped for toilet,fuel,food)

i only need to get to westhill. ie bathgate to westhill. i have down it in 1 hour 37 minutes in my old mr2 however the goalposts have now moved and i only have 1 hour instead of two. and although that is physically possible ie average 140mph its not really on .biggrin so now iv begged a member of staff to switch shifts and im hoping to hear back from them.
