Great day, thanks to everyone who turn up and made it what it was.

Yes the day almost started with a bang with that older women determined to bump my car. In the end at least she let me park her car for her. Most of you buggers were laughing.

Was following Alex jnr in beemer 323ci up loch lubnich, some good driving on partially damp roads. Knightrider did produce a few good overtaking manoveurs - always a joy mate.

The way up was funny with cream clarky, the focus and the other beemer all passing each other. The focus did pass me in glencoe, but i wasn't trying. I think i might have passed you back, but not as funny when you pulled out the 1st time and my foot slipped on the accelerator and you were left overtaking nothing!! Sorry, but i thought it was funny.

RS6 passing me over Rannoch moor, i'm sure i must have slipped it into reverse by accident - at least that's what it felt like. Some car bigbusa.

After lunch me, steve in the s2000 and fluff were playing catch-up on the rest of the group. Steve had to stop to put his roof back up when we hit a shower. Shytorque appeared from nowhere in the DB9 and we had a laugh all the way from before Connel to Callander. S2000 caught back up after his enforced stop only to stop again for fuel. Your car may be quite quick, but stategy comes into it also.

Kay was driving nice and the vrs goes well.
Followed OJ for a few miles before Tyndrum until he turned of at Crainlaraich heading to Glasgow. Just as well as i was just about to pass you for driving slow!!!

Tyndrum to Lixtoll me the aston and milkybarkid (blue fast S4) had some fun. Some random guy in a vectra went crazy in front and i was convinced he was going to crash on some corners. We all passed him for his own safety.

Just me and the aston after lixtoll.

Going through Doune in a line of 3 cars, all doing 30mph. Guy with car full of kids pulls out and turn right straight in my path. Didn't miss him by much, mouth off at me because i nearly hit him. Oh well not to worry.

Well done to Stackofire for coming straight off night shift and coming on the run. He then left to go back and do another night shift??? Your motor sound awesome.

Roll on the next run and i hope you all had as good a day as i did.

Great day fellas and well done Kenny for another gleaming route-Sorry to be holding you up on the way back Kenny...it's pretty weird being tailed by a banana on steroids - I just had to slow down to get a proper look! I'll remember to give it some beans next time although the run down to Glencoe with my counterpart in the sublime 993 Turbo had me thinking that Porsche really had not made any engineering advancements between the two models in the last two decades - then I found out that his has received a little extra attentionnuts over the last couple of years - very nice indeed and looking forward to the next one already wink

Highlight of the day for me was the return leg down past Glencoe on my todd.

The Boxster in front of me who clocked i was about to overtake and starts wagging his finger to say "No, no, you won't make it past before the bridge"

I've got it on video am pretty sure, just a shame i couldn't see his face when i passed and was away through the bridge before he was within 500m of it.

So glad i decided to come along today, it was exactly the tonic i needed. Cheers everyone smile

Highlight for me was passing a sign with Duror Duror on it...whilst listening to Duran Duran biggrin

Cracking day Kenny, really enjoyed learning the MX5's (and ditchfinder tyres!!) limits - hope I didn't slow anyone down too much.

I persevered with the roof down as much as I could but had to admit defeat just after Connel.

Good tpo put some faces to names, i'll upload my photies in a wee while.

Cheers,
Steven (71NotOut)

VTEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coming back from the glencoe towards stirling, overtaking a vauxhall vectra, i screwed up my gearing and was a bit sluggish. he tried tos speed up to stop the over taking. I wish i had a big sign come out of my car with VTEC THIS!!!!!!! as the vtec finally kicked in.

Highlights;

Being the meat in an XKR/Aston sandwich on first stretch of the legs

Overtaking "sports" bikes when trying to keep my Mk1 ahead of the Mk2 RS

Most of the run from Glencoe down to Lochearnhead really, we got a good crack at open roads on the whole.

Lowlights;

Last few miles driving on fumes in hailstorm!

Bloody bikers holding us up!
