Can't reccommend this guy highly enough.

I have been going to him for about 13 years and would not let anyone else touch my cars. Guys in the BMWCC use him also and rave about his service and pricing is excellent.
His Name is Davy, tell him Gary with the E30 M3 sent you.
You will be hard pushed to find anyone better or cheaper, and if his missus is there you'll get a wee cup of tea and a biscuit

Not somewhere I've used, but someone on the Z4 forum (also on here - djbilly) used a place in the shadow of Ibrox recently and reported good things back from them. Can't find the details of the thread with the name in it though...
Know Billy from his S2000 days - I'd certainly vouch for any reccomendations he might make.I'd strongly recommend Ronnie Weaver in Cathcart. Excellent service on my old M3. Very good value and loves his cars.
Alternatively, I use Motortune at Shotts for my Porsche and although he specialises in these, he also knows other German marques pretty well... And he's even better value than Ronnie.

I'm thinking of getting the front discs and pads changed. The dealer has quoted me £460 which I thought was a bit steep so would be interested to hear what a good indie would charge.
Any recommendations ideally in the Glasgow area.

Out of curiosity I emailed that BMW Independent place and asked them for prices for servicing a Z4M.
Oil service £99, inspection one £130 and an inspection two service costs £180 (all prices exclude VAT).
Same as the regular Z4 aprt from the oil service which is £20 dearer. Top quality!

I recently got quotes for my Z3M Coupe (which has the same S54 engine as your Z4M) for the same servicing with very different prices quoted to you. Oil service £167, inspection one £557.63 and inspection two £721.06 (all prices inclusive of VAT and materials).

It's only a Z4C I've got, not a Z4MC. Been thinking about upgrading hence why I emailed about the prices!
