Our 5 year old Freelander is due its annual service, anybody know any good independent Landrover specialists around Edinburgh who won't charge me main dealer prices?

Keith Elgin in Canaan Lane? - http://www.keithelginmotorengineers.com/

No first hand experience, I just know that he's a Land Rover man.

I used to use Alex Lindsay in Broxburn when I had Land Rovers, but yours may be a bit new for him. His number is 01506 854 827. (he's your man for penny farthings too...)

G,

Keith Elgin seems to be the man for all things LR.

Do try Stratstone at Portobello though, it's always worth asking for a deal on servicing.

If you want me to lean on them a little give me a shout.

We bought it new from Stratstone, never happy with their service for which they charge an arm and a leg so maybe Keith Elgin is the man.

Hi VetteG,
Gemm 4x4 in Larbert, Falkirk is excellent. I know it's 30 miles from Edinburgh, but you could always spend the day in Falkirk. Pop in to my gym and you can have a workout if you want, no charge.
If you don't find something nearer then give them a phone.
Ask for Bobby or George 01324-557735.
I've used them for around 8-9 years, mention my name if you want they know me well.
Service is excellent and they know everything about landy's & Rangerovers.

Forgot about them. My dad uses them for parts quite alot. They are very knowledgeable and always seem to have the parts in stock (at least for my dads defender).
