Check this out lads. I put it on the classics forum simply to let more people read it.

A warning to all.

Christ that is unbelievable that a garage with trained(. And I assume qualified mechanics ) could make such a mess . And then pass it ? Sounds like a pretty dodgy garage to me. Heart goes out to the owner !

In my stupidity I would have thought that a garage qualified to do MOT's would have a reasonably decent mechanic

Not in this case obviously

I must admit, that after the first long journey in my hog, I nearly had a seizure when I discovered the dipstick was bone dry. Only after a panicked call to an understanding mate, did I realise that you had to have the engine running to read the oil level paperbag

But still, any mechanic worth his salt should realise this. Besides, who were they to start filling it with oil?

Hope it goes/went well. Always a worry with a TVR and local garages.

Ah, don't worry about it.

If the adjusters are stuck they'll just use a 4lb ball pein hammer and cold steel chisel.

A good T-Cut and you won't notice the marks!
