Hi
am looking for some recommendations for a good auto electrician who in particular understands old cars and can work on the old ones. Needs to be someone who can b trusted to work alone and be reliable.

Also needs to be central belt,

Any ideas? Happy for a pvt on this

A few people I know wanting work done on older cars

Wouldn't say it was THAT old, the Nissan Micra only came out in 1982 smile

well hugh you know the types of old things i have and as there are no wiring diagrams, sometimes little logic to the way they are wired and parts made from recycled peeled tomato tims, then someone who knows what they are doing with old cars may be an idea? Are you offering to help?

I would highly recommend GP Auto's Dundyvan Rd Coatbridge 01236434650.

Ask for John pollock, he builds his own miniture steam powered engines (these thing cost about £4000 each and then you have to build them), and is extremely knowledgable on all things electrical.

Has done alot of work for me and has never let me down.

Worth a call at least

Also cockburns auto electrics in larbert, Falkirk are very good.
The main technician is actually very into his older cars and has a few older fords himself.
Not bad with prices either.
Hope it helps
