Alford sprint Sunday the 18th July action starts 10.00a.m. There will be over 60 cars on the day with Lee and the 'Raptor' looking to break the track record no doubt. Other cars to look out for is the 4ltr V8 Reliant Kitten and the 4.6ltr V8 MGB GT. We are looking for marshals as always so if you want to get close to the action get 'feed' get 'paid' and wear a nice all in orange boiler suit just sign in by 9.00a.m on the day. No Marshals no event See you there Vicky and I will be in car No 8.

oh fairly modified then! a touch wider than i recall, we used to move it around the pub car park and the engine bay was like a bathtub, however that is cool. always been a fan of making something that shouldnt be quick, quick... so to speak.

I will hopefully make it up to spectate weather permitting. Will there be any allocated parking and how much if entry?

Thanks,
Jamie

If you could that would be great! biggrin

My mum and dad are unable to go as they are going to Peterhead.

What time would you be looking at? I'm guessing probably around 8am?

I've uploaded one of each car but still have another 800+ photos to look through from the day.

First batch here: http://www.flatoutphotography.com/gallery3/index.p...

Some samples:

There's also a couple of marmite shots where I experimented with much lower shutter speeds:

I'll work through and upload the others tomorrow.

John

Absolutely superb day. Cracking weather aswell, got a cracking t-shirt tan!

First time I have been to a sprint event and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The drivers who compete certainly have adequate sized particulars. I couldn't quite believe the speed of some of the cars there. 2 Caterham-esk cars stick in my mind. The green one with the front wing and the yellow one with rear diffuser. They were insane, absolutely ballistic. Kudos to the drivers for managing to pilot those beasts round the track in such spectacular fashion. The single seaters were a bit quick too huh. Especially Eric's and that Raptor. What engines do these cars run?

Thanks need to be given to all drivers and organisers for such a fantasic event. I will certainly be back to spectate at future events.

It was a brilliant day! Sad that nobody 'spotted' my car in the car park, with the PH smiley in the back window, but happy to see some pretty precise driving. Was pretty impressed by the VX220s of all things, pretty fast without any sort of real drama about them, but a bit miffed that i missed some of the Evos. I did see a few PH stickers though and a woman with a PH t-shirt on, but i'm not big on walking up to complete strangers and saying 'hi, you don't know me but we use the same internet forum' laugh
