Evening, I'm heading up to Inverness next month for my Mums 50th birthday and need to book a nice restaurant.. Any recommendations?

I think last time we were up there, we went to Number 1 or Number 10 (can't remember name?) which we liked.

Cheers

The Anderson in Fortrose. Not Inverness but not too far away and well worth it - 100 Belgian beers available!

Hi, not to sure what type of dinning you are looking for but since it is your Mums 50th you should be pushing the boat out a bit cool

Here are two of the best:

I would agree, Mike went there during the week, and after waiting an hour for food, it arrived cold. He and his party refused to pay and walked out.

Nairn is a bit far out. They are staying up in Dornoch, and meeting us in Inverness for the day..

You should head up and have dinner with them in Dornoch.

The Royal Golf Hotel has just completed a £2million refurb and the restaurant looks out over the beach and the Dornoch Firth, which is a pretty spectacular place to eat when the sun is setting.

Any of the places mentioned are good. Given it's size, Inverness is far better provided for restaurants than Aberdeen.
