Comments needed Folks - Car Nuts Night Out

Hey troops,
looking for an idea of how well a night out would be received/attended.
Background - After the success of the bbq at Broomhall Castle they phoned to thank us for our custom, during the conversation I mentioned I'd like to do another event in winter time and make the summer bbq an annual thing.
The Idea - Between us we came up with a general plan for a night, which would be roughly an afternoon run for those that wanted, then the hotel for a charity night/party. The night would consist of; a fantastic dinner followed by a comedian and then a session of cocktail making lessons then a dance/disco. There would also be a seperate bar area and a further seperate room with a big scalextric track set up (hopefully a car arcade game or two), i'd also like a widescreen playing peoples footage of the runs from the summer.
The Aftermath - The hotel will of course do discounted rooms on site and we have a holiday inn express, travel lodge and plenty of other hotels and b&b's a short distance away. We think apart from the fantastic job the hotel made the last time that the central location to Borders/North and East/West makes it fair for everyone.
Timescale - at present there is no plan on the date, other than over the wintery months. Late Nov/Christmas or Feb/March are possibles.
Other Stuff - Kenny has indicated he would be good enough to help organise and I have also had an offer from one of the tvr chaps daughters who has a lot of experience in these things to donate a good chunk of time to help raising donations, prizes for raffle / auction etc.
I'm sure between us all we could make a fantastic night with some brilliant laughs and as before raise a few quid without being over the top.
Any comments - good/not good or suggestions and interested / not interested in attending would be gratefully received.

what you appear to be suggesting is a BTAP but a sensible distance for us to drive to. Depending on when and price I would be up for this.
Hmm a Scottish BTAP why not, It has a lot of appeal! A word of advice though, dont make the first one too complicated, work on the KISS principle and work from there.And if this gets off the ground give me a shout and I will try and help.
