02 Ibiza Cupra Hazard Light Switch

Morning all,
Indicators stopped working after I removed my hazard light switch and plugged it back in. Before I removed it it was making the 'clicky' noise the indicators make but doing it randomly when the indicators weren'y on.
The noise has now stopped after removing and plugging in but the indicators have stopped working. The hazards still work as normal and the full beam flash from the same stalk as the indicators works.
Seems like a common problem on the leons but not the ibizas however the symptoms are almost identical as some forum stories of leons.
Went to the dealers in Kilmarnock this morning before getting the bus to work in Glasgow, they don't have it in and it's £61 to get it in. A bit steep i'm sure you would agree once you saw the unit.
Any suggestions on either a) what else it could be if you don't think it's the hazard light switch or b) anywhere I have a chance of getting a new one cheaper or a second hand one.
