I am soon to be the proud owner of an Austin Healey 3000 and wondered if there were any like minded chaps (clubs) in the Aberdeen/shire area. If there are some what kind of things do you get up to (meets, rallies, etc.)?

I was going to say loons but thought it might get picked up the wrong way.
I also thought of Gadgies, but thought better of it since there were a few non-Doric speaking people residing in the NE and wanted to give them a chance to reply.

' Mannies '....is another local term but ' loons ' is probably the most regularly used...

Historic Wheels Club caters for all makes of classics and has members from Aberdeen to Inverness and had a spendid day at Brodie recently where about 300 cars turned up including Healeys..

Darren McWhirther of the Moray Motor Museum in Elgin chairs / organises the club [ 01343 544933 ]

Thanks for the info, I'll maybe drop in past the Motor Museum the next time I'm up in Elgin and have a chat.

Check when they close for the winter before planning a trip around a visit.

Closes about end of October

Darren himself works in the family business across the road from the museum at DECORA - a DIY store.
