Roadworks round Glasgow
Discussion
Hi Folks,
My wife needs to get from Dundee to the centre of Glasgow by half nine on Thursday morning, anyone got any idea how long the roadworks are likely to add to the journey?
She thought about going down to Edinburgh and across the M8 but someone has told us there are roadworks along there too?
Thanks

Head down as normal but at start of roadworks at Banknock take the Kilyth kirkitilloch Bishopbriggs road A 803 int Glasgow
Bypasses roadworks completely and probably quicker
That early if going to Centre of Glasgow why not Train probably costs about same/slightly more than car journey quicker and a lot less hassle?

I know we are all enthusiasts, but really, would you rather be on a train for one hour with (next to) no stress or sit in slow moving traffic for 2 & 1/2 hours...?
Unless the cost differential is sizeable, I would get the train.
I stopped using my car in rush hours about 4 years ago, because most of Scotland's artery roads just turn into car parks.

Thanks. I'd much prefer that she takes the train but her work won't pay for a train ticket and they want staff to use pool cars instead.Bypasses roadworks completely and probably quicker
