Anyone else doing the cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh this Sunday? I'll be riding as part of "Team Phale" with 6 mates. Some of us arn't looking very prepared and our name is becoming less and less ironic as time goes on hehe

Aye me and a few mates are doing it. We've not got a team name though, maybe we should sort that. Should be ok so long as the wheather's not brutal. Will have a massively sore arse at the end though!

I'm doing it again this year with some mates. It's great fun and not as hard as it sounds as its quite flat. We are dropping a van off in Edinburgh this afternoon so we can dump the bikes and hit some pubs. Does anyone know of a good pub in the area?

I've done it a few times. Great day out. Not difficult, anyone can do it. Damaged my knee a few weeks ago so no cycling for me. Just pace yourself. About 10 miles between organised stops but take I bottle of water and some wine gums for energy and you'll be fine. Enjoy!

Well how did everyone do then?

My pal Andy and I took just under 4 hours which was both pleasing and surprising! Didn't do any training (although I head up to Glentress or Inners every week) and couldn't get the god damn Maxxis High Roller off my front wheel! None the less, bike rolled pretty well.

Great day out, amazing weather. Got a sore arse and some sunburn, but well worth it!

Well done. Glad you had a good day. My mate did it without me and gloated he was quicker than he would have been with me in tow he finished it in 3hrs 56min. Gutted I missed it. Great weather makes it much better. Going to be there next year.

Definitely worth doing. Think next time I'll do some training and see if I can borrow a racer!
