The Pistonheads / Scottish Elises Xmas Do 2010
Okay folks - here's the skinny. Don't delay, if you fancy it, book today. Spaces are left, but not a huge amount.
Venue:
Broomhall Castle, Menstrie near Stirling (FK11 7EA)
www.broomhallcastle.co.uk
Date:
Saturday 27th November 2010
Timings:
We start early! Arrive 4:30pm for 5:00pm meal - early dinner leaving all night for the entertainment.
Finishes up at 1am - DJ from 9pm-1am in the function suite - but plenty of other places to be if you don't fancy dancing all night!
Entertainment:
-The Unofficial Pistonheads Scotland Awards - see below
-Comedian
-DJ playing until 1am
-Cocktail demonstration and table competition (which includes drinking them!)
-PS3 playing all night on a massive projection screen
-possible there will be other games and attractions in the games room (currently in negotiation)
-We have exclusive use of the whole castle, so there is a luxurious lounge for chatting, an area set aside for the games, the main hall for dancing and the bar - all interconnected, so you can have as quiet or as rowdy a time as you want!
Meal:
Top quality menu with a couple of options from the superb chef. Roast Beef & Trimmings or Chicken Balmoral mains. Superb quality food, not the usual Christmas party fayre!
Cost:
Only £50 a head for the dinner and all the entertainment!
Booking:
Phone the castle on 01259 763360 and ask for the Pistonheads/Scottish Elise Dinner on 27th Nov
Accomodation:
Everything in the castle is now gone, but there's plenty of guesthouses close by and some bigger hotels a short taxi-ride away. (Hotel numbers and details in the main thread at top of scotland page)
Dress
Formal - I know some won't stretch to black tie, but as smart as you can present yourself please
Get it booked now - will be a brilliant night, shared 50/50 with Scottish Elises so we could pack so much in for so little coin. Will be a great night - lots to do and lots of banter to be had. Guests include the fastest pensioner in Scotland (a real track demon), plenty of pro racers from various marques and a crazy welshman/aberdonian duo who will literaly attempt to drink the castle dry, so there will undoubtably some entertaining chat on offer... Plenty of great Pistonheaders already confirmed with new faces from Scottish Elises to chat to as well if you fancy. I can't wait - will be a top laugh
Finally, From the last couple of emails can I make it clear that we welcome newbies, if you havent been on a run you can still come along, it will be a great way to meet all the troops and for the newer guys on the runs/forums to put names to faces. Hopefully we can persuade some of the aberdeen dyno and run teams to join us aswell.
cheers

Ps payment is due by 5th November please.

I've paid so feel almost entitled to ask.
Does the 50 quid ticket include wine at dinner or should we budget for that..does the castle have this covered or do they want to charge corkage??
Looking forward to this one Flip - should be more fun than a bath with Sarah Beeny!!
