Got held up at lunch time today on the A96 just north of the Airport roundabout.

From what I hear it was a car traveling south on the wrong carageway.....not good !

I passed this shortly after it happened. Both cars were head to head and I was trying to figure out how it happened. I figured one car had spun, but I guess not.

ETA: By the time I passed everyone was out of the vehicles, and it didn't look as if the fire brigade had to use any cutting gear. I'd hazard a guess at minor injuries.

Awww no.
The cars really didn't look that bad, but I guess the impact was enough for the old guy.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I guess the old boy was the one going the wrong way.

I passed this yesterday as well, I was heading south, and without jumping to conclusions, it looked like a head on collision, and the only logical way to have done this would be to have turned right at the junction at marshall trailers (from the Kingswells side) and headed south on the overtaking lane.

The other possibility would be turning right at tyrebagger junction and heading south but that would have been a fair distance to have travelled without hitting anything.

Tragic to hear of a fatality in any case.

According to the paper he turned on at the Blackburn junction and drove some 3 miles on the wrong side of the road!
