Drove down to NEC this AM to see the classic show, checked BBC weather at 6.15 am before left and was clear skys and 4c. Saw warning sign at Larkhall on M74 of sever snow and thought was a joke! 5 miles south was a whiteout at 640am and continued for 20 miles going down to 30 mph in the 4WD Passat! 6'' of snow, no snow ploughs for 20 miles, one lane open and going port or starboard as was so slippy! Nearly turned back until AA reassured us was no snow in pennines!

Cars are covered in frost now, also my brothers now using the freeby tomorrow for tip runs as it's suddenly more practical than his ctr. No heated seats or windscreen in the ctr as I need to use that for college. frown

Can make him fill it up and Hoover it though smile

I did the same drive this morning, but was a wee bit earlier than you, I was at Larkhall cut off at about 6am.

By the time I got to Abington, I was honestly considering turning back, as the road was lethal and the roads department hadn't yet bothered their @rse getting the gritters and ploughs out. Not fun at all.

Going to be a fun few months at this rate alright.
