Speed Camera Flashing At You

Ave don't get excited, the speed camera didn't actually flash and show me his willy.

I was driving through the lights heading towards the steps bypass roundabout coming from Falkirk/Moddiesburn way. There is a speed camera on the opposite side beside the BP garage. It's a 30 limit and i got a single flash going towards the camera. They haven't changed the way camera's work and can take your picture from the front? Better not as i did the same the following morning very early and that's when i realised that it definately flashed at me, as there was nothing on the opposite side of the road.

It may be picking you up and flashing even though you are in opposite sde of road

The one in Springburn road in Glasgow does the same you can trip it heading towards it in outside lane

No worries though no markings on road if camara can even see road over barrier

If you are going toward a static camera you cannot be prosocuted since it can only take one picture, they take 2 to corolate the speed, by the time it takes the second you are out of the camera's line of sight.

That was my understanding of it too.

Although not to worry you Kenny, but I thought there were markings on that side of the road? Immaterial though if only one flash! I've spotted traffc pol sitting in the residential street on the Glasgow-bound side of the road, hence markings. Just one to be aware of, especially given the ridiculous nature of that 30mph section.

Don't think going above the speed limit is going to be your concern! I understand on some of the roads even getting to Nissan Micra speed may be a challenge!!

I think this particular camera is faulty - it has been flashing most cars that pass it for a couple of days now.

Same thing happened to me recently on the jedburgh rd - Overtaking on an A road and a camera facing me flashed me.....After reading this post....Phew
