Mrs kiwi has been at ebay again, and this time we have a sofa to collect from Manchester, and 2 large chairs from Preston. Both need delivered to Glasgow.

Who would you suggest I try to get the job done with collection sometime in the next week?

Someone has suggested Paisley Freight, which is cheap enough and timely. I'm a little concerned it will not be insured for damage and will come on a truck filled with tyres, car parts, and alloy wheels.

I used Paisley Freight to transport wheels and the work was subcontracted to Interlink (I don't know if they even have any vans?), who safely brought them in a nice clean van alongside various other 'clean' packages, no old exhaust manifolds or gearboxes in sight!

Great news. thumbup I'll get them to do it.

I just need to get the senders to somehow shrink wrap it to protect it a bit.

I used this guy Jim Boyle, Tel: 07865059490, Cumbernauld Courier Services to bring chairs I won on ebay up to Glasgow from Chester. Very reliable and competitivly priced.

I've used them as well, but they have a dimension limit of 2.5m and I think the sofa is about 3m frown

What about Ramage(s)?

Aren't they based up there and they seem to be round the North West pretty often.

Tried Shiply, but 3 quotes were £59,£67, and £80.

frown PART FAIL frown

Paisley Freight wouldn't collect the sofa from Manchester as it was furniture

They did however pick up the 2 lounge chairs from Manchester for the same price on the same day.

irked

...Back to wait on Shiply for someone who can collect next Wednesday, unless anyone has some more ideas?
